The problem
Your quote and your invoice
live in two different worlds.
Xero is brilliant at the books. It was never meant to quote the job. So tradies and service businesses across Australia, New Zealand and the UK end up doing this:
The deal you win and the invoice you raise should be one continuous flow. Setell makes it one — with Xero on the receiving end.
How it works
Request in. Quote out. Invoice in Xero.
One flow, end to end. Setell owns the quoting; the approved quote becomes a Xero invoice automatically.
Where Setell is deep
The quoting is the product.
Xero handles your books. Setell handles the part Xero never could — winning the deal and getting it priced right. This is where the depth is.
Xero invoice sync
Straight talk on the Xero link
When you approve a quote, Setell pushes an invoice into your Xero organisation. It is a one-way invoice push — the quoting happens in Setell, and the invoice is raised in Xero for you. Connect Xero once in Settings on the Business or Pro plan and it runs automatically from then on.
Deeper, two-way Xero sync is on the roadmap — but it is not live yet, so we will not pretend it is. Today, the Xero integration does not read payments back, match customers against Xero, or sync your item catalogue. We would rather you connect Xero knowing exactly what it does than be surprised later.
Already on QuickBooks instead? Setell's QuickBooks integration goes much deeper — two-way sync, customer matching, and history-based pricing intelligence.

Xero quoting, answered
Does Setell sync with Xero?
Yes — for invoicing. When you approve a quote, Setell pushes an invoice into your Xero organisation automatically, so you never re-key the job by hand. Today that link is a one-way invoice push: Setell does the quoting and the invoice lands in Xero. Deeper Xero sync is on the roadmap.
Does Setell two-way sync with Xero?
Not today. The Xero integration is a one-way invoice push: approved quotes flow from Setell into Xero as invoices. It does not yet read back payments, match customers, or sync your item catalogue from Xero — that deeper, two-way sync is on the roadmap. We would rather under-promise here than have you expecting reconciliation that is not live yet.
Which plans include Xero?
Connecting your Xero organisation is available on the Business and Pro plans. You link Xero once in Settings, and from then on approved quotes push to Xero as invoices automatically.
Does it work for tradies in Australia, New Zealand and the UK?
Yes. Xero is the dominant cloud-accounting system across AU, NZ and the UK, and Setell is built to sit on top of it — the quoting agent on the front, your Xero organisation on the back. Tradies, contractors and service businesses all run the same flow: a job request comes in, Setell drafts a branded quote, the customer approves, and the invoice lands in Xero.
How do I connect my Xero organisation?
Sign in, open Settings, and connect Xero in one click — you authorise Setell against your Xero organisation and you are done. From that point, every approved quote pushes an invoice into Xero automatically. No spreadsheets, no copy-paste, no re-keying.
Does Setell learn how I price?
Yes, and this works the same whether you are on Xero or anywhere else. Setell learns your pricing from the quotes you send through Setell — your rates, your margins, how you price for each customer and job type — so your drafts get sharper the more you quote. That learning loop runs on your own Setell quote history; it is not dependent on Xero.
