Plans & limits (Free / Solo / Business / Pro)

Overview

Setell has four plans: Free, Solo, Business, and Pro. They all do the real work — draft quotes, send them, run the Deal Room. The difference is how much you do per period and which extras you get. You're never blocked from trying Setell; you just hit a limit and upgrade when you outgrow it.

Solo is sold in the Setell mobile app, through the App Store or Google Play — not on the web. Business and Pro are billed on the web. If you're on Solo and want Business, see docs/account/upgrade-billing.
New accounts start with 14 days of unlimited Pro. After that you're on Free: 3 AI quotes a month (AI messages stay a 25-message lifetime cap). Free counts reset on the 1st; Solo, Business, and Pro counts reset every billing period.

What counts toward your quote limit

  • A quote credit is used when Setell drafts a new quote (the first version, v1).
  • Revisions are free. Turning a quote into v2, v3, and so on does _not_ use another credit — same job, same credit.
  • Sending a quote doesn't use a quote credit either; the credit is spent when it's drafted.

What happens when you hit a limit

  • Setell tells you you're at your limit and shows an Upgrade button — it won't quietly fail.
  • Your data stays exactly where it is. Upgrading lifts the limit right away.
  • See docs/account/upgrade-billing to upgrade.

A note on canceling

If you cancel a paid plan, you drop back to Free rules at the end of your billing period — Free limits, no pricing memory, no custom PDF, no API. QuickBooks stays connected (invoices keep syncing); your jobs and history stay safe, and you just lose the paid extras until you resubscribe.

If you bought Solo in the mobile app, cancel it the same way you cancel any app subscription — in your App Store or Google Play account, not in Setell.
