Docs / Getting started
Set up your brand
Overview
The first thing Setell asks is what your business looks like — your logo, your color, your name. This is how your quotes show up to customers, so they look like your shop, not a generic template. Everything here is optional and takes about 30 seconds. You can change any of it later.
Before you start
- Your logo handy (a PNG or JPG) if you have one. You don't need one to continue.
- Optional shortcut: a past invoice (PDF or Word) or your email signature — Setell can read it and fill the form for you.
Steps
- After your first sign-in you land on Set up your brand.
- Want to skip the typing? In the Skip the forms box, click Upload invoice (PDF / Word) or Paste signature text, and Setell fills in your name, address, phone, and email for you. Check what it found.
- Add your logo. Drop an image on the Company Logo box (or click browse). Setell pulls your brand color straight from the logo and sets it for you.
- Pick your color in Brand Color if you want a different one — your logo's colors show up as suggestions.
- Fill in the basics: Company Name, Industry, and the rest. All optional. There's an About your business box too — type a line or tap ✨ Draft with AI to expand it.
- Click Show me my templates to move on — or Skip for now → if you'd rather get going.
What happens next
- Your logo and color now appear on every quote, contract, and your customer's branded link.
- You move to Your templates (step 2) to make your first quote. See
docs/getting-started/first-quote. - Changed your mind on anything? Update it anytime in Settings.
Troubleshooting
- The color from my logo looks off. Your logo's top colors appear as suggestions next to Brand Color — pick a different one, or type your own hex code.
- My logo won't upload. Use a PNG or JPG up to 2MB. Very large files or unusual formats are skipped.
- The invoice upload didn't find my details. Some PDFs are scanned images Setell can't read. Click Paste signature text and paste your email signature instead — that almost always works.
- I don't have a logo yet. Skip it. Setell uses your company's first letter on your brand color until you add one.
- Still stuck →
docs/reference/troubleshooting.
FAQ
- Is any of this required? No. Every field is optional — you can click Skip for now and add things later.
- Where does my brand color come from? From your logo, automatically. You can override it.
- Can I change my logo or color later? Yes, anytime in Settings.
- What's the "About your business" box for? It helps Setell match your voice when it writes quotes and emails. Optional.
- Will my brand show up to customers? Yes — on quotes, contracts, and the link your customer opens.
