Auto mode & the morning brief

Business+

Overview

Auto mode is for owners who'd rather check in once a day. Boxx handles routine work quietly — no note, no nudge — and you catch up the next morning in your brief at the top of the dashboard. It still stops and asks before anything that looks risky. Auto is on the Business and Pro plans.

Auto mode is a Business and Pro feature. Free accounts stay in Watch. Upgrade in Settings → Billing to turn Auto on.

Before you start

  • A Setell Business or Pro plan.
  • Some job history helps — Auto leans on Boxx's pricing check, which sharpens as you send more quotes.

What Boxx does in Auto

  • Routine work happens quietly. Boxx doesn't stop to confirm and doesn't leave a note each time — it just does the work.
  • The strong pricing flag still asks. A quote that's clearly under- or over-priced still waits for you. Boxx never auto-sends something it flagged as a real problem — in any mode.
  • You catch up in the morning. The next time you open the dashboard, your brief sums up what happened.

Your morning brief

At the top of your dashboard you'll see Boxx — this morning: a short, scannable rundown of where things stand. It groups items so you can read it in seconds:

  • Wins — what closed (for example, deals signed overnight).
  • Today — what needs your eyes: drafts awaiting review, new inbound to triage.
  • Heads up — sent quotes that have gone quiet and may need a nudge.
  • FYI — context, like deals closed this week.

Each line that needs action has a button right there — Review drafts, Triage inbox, See stale jobs — so the brief isn't just news, it's your to-do list. A quiet day reads "You're all caught up."

Turn it on

  1. Go to Settings and find the Autonomy card.
  2. For Sending a quote, pick Auto.
  3. Open your dashboard the next morning to see Boxx — this morning.

What to expect

  • The quietest day-to-day. Boxx keeps things moving without pinging you.
  • One place to catch up. The brief is your single morning check-in.
  • The real risks still pause. Anything Boxx flags as clearly off-price waits for you, brief or no brief.

Troubleshooting

  • The Auto button is greyed out. Auto needs a Business or Pro plan. Upgrade in Settings → Billing.
  • My brief is empty. That's a good thing — it means nothing needs you. The brief shows "You're all caught up" on quiet mornings.
  • Boxx paused on a send while I was in Auto. It hit the strong pricing flag, which always asks. Read the note and confirm or adjust. See docs/autonomy/pricing-analyst.

FAQ

  • What's the difference from Trust? Trust leaves you a note each time it auto-proceeds. Auto stays quiet and rolls it into the morning brief.
  • Where do I find the brief? Top of the dashboard, labeled Boxx — this morning.
  • Does Auto ever send a quote I'd object to? It won't send anything it flagged as clearly off-price — that always asks first. Auto only skips the confirm step on routine work.
