Import from Jobber / ServiceTitan

Overview

Run your field work in Jobber or ServiceTitan? Connect it once and Setell pulls in your past jobs, so it can price new quotes from the work you've actually done. It's a one-way import — Setell reads your history; it never writes back or changes anything in Jobber or ServiceTitan.

Before you start

  • A Jobber or ServiceTitan account you can sign in to.
  • For ServiceTitan only: your Tenant ID and App Key from the ServiceTitan Developer Portal. (Jobber doesn't need these — you just sign in.)
  • 2 minutes.
Works on every plan. The connection is the same one-way history import for both platforms.

Steps — Jobber

  1. Go to Settings → Connections.
  2. Find the Jobber card and click Connect to Jobber.
  3. Sign in on Jobber's site and approve access. You land back in Setell and the card reads Connected — historical jobs ingested on demand.

Steps — ServiceTitan

  1. Go to Settings → Connections and find the ServiceTitan card.
  2. Click Connect to ServiceTitan. A short form appears asking for your Tenant ID and App Key.
  3. Paste both (find them in the ServiceTitan Developer Portal → your app), then continue. Sign in on ServiceTitan's site to finish. The card reads Connected.

What happens next

  • After connecting, click Import historical jobs on the provider's card in Settings → Connections. Setell then brings in your past jobs in the background — you don't have to babysit it.
  • Imported jobs become history Setell can search when you draft new quotes.
  • It's read-only: nothing in Jobber or ServiceTitan changes, and nothing goes out to your customers.
  • You can disconnect anytime from the same card; that stops future imports.
The import runs in the background — give it a few minutes after you click Import historical jobs. Re-running is safe; jobs you've already imported aren't duplicated.

Troubleshooting

  • Card still says "Not connected" after signing in. The sign-in didn't complete the round-trip. Click Connect again and approve all the way through on the provider's site.
  • ServiceTitan won't connect. Double-check the Tenant ID and App Key — both are required, and they come from the ServiceTitan Developer Portal, not your normal ServiceTitan login. Both are stored encrypted.
  • "Already connected to another account." That Jobber/ServiceTitan account is linked to a different Setell account. The owning account must disconnect first.
  • History isn't showing up yet. Imports run in the background and can take a bit after connecting. If it's been a while, contact support.

FAQ

  • Will this change anything in Jobber or ServiceTitan? No. The import only reads — it never edits or deletes your data there.
  • Do I need a paid plan? No — connecting and importing history works on every plan.
  • Why does ServiceTitan need extra keys but Jobber doesn't? ServiceTitan ties access to a Tenant ID and App Key from its developer portal. Jobber uses a plain sign-in.
  • Can I connect both? Yes — connect each one separately.
  • What if I'd rather just upload a file? Export to CSV from either platform and use docs/import/spreadsheet.
