Trials & how they work

Overview

Every new Setell account starts on Pro, free, for 14 days — the full product, unlimited drafting and all the extras, so you can see what Setell really does on your own jobs before you decide anything. No card up front.

How the trial works

• For 14 days you're on Pro with unlimited AI quotes and every paid feature switched on.
• There's nothing to set up and no card to enter — the trial starts the moment you sign up.
• Your dashboard shows how many days you have left, so the change is never a surprise.
• When the 14 days are up, your account moves to the Free plan automatically.

What happens when the trial ends

• You move to Free, which keeps working — you don't lose access to Setell.
• Free gives you 3 AI quotes a month. Boxx and the customer portal (view, e-sign, card payment) keep working.
• Paid-only extras (QuickBooks sync, pricing memory, custom PDF templates, the API) turn off until you upgrade.
• Nothing is deleted. Every job, quote, and customer record stays exactly where it is.

Staying on Pro

If you like what you see, upgrade to Business or Pro before — or any time after — the trial ends. Upgrading lifts the limits and turns the extras back on right away. See docs/account/upgrade-billing.

Troubleshooting

• My trial ended sooner than I expected. The trial runs 14 days from the day you signed up. You can upgrade any time to stay on Pro.
• I'm on Free but want unlimited quotes again. Upgrade from Settings → Billing. Your limits lift immediately.
• I never got a heads-up before it ended. A reminder is part of the trial flow — check the email on file, and the dashboard shows your days remaining. You can still upgrade any time with no loss of data.

FAQ

• Do I need a credit card to start? No. The 14-day Pro trial is free and needs no card.
• How long is the trial? 14 days of unlimited Pro, starting the day you sign up.
• What happens after 14 days? You move to the Free plan — 3 AI quotes a month — unless you upgrade. Nothing is deleted.
• What do I keep after the trial? Everything you made. You just move to Free limits.
• Can I go back to Pro later? Yes, any time — see docs/account/upgrade-billing.
